White Rose

***

Majestic as can be, for those who would see

A field of colors in a dazzling symbol of beauty

If I were to kneel down, would you frown?

If I picked a single white rose to present to thee?

Would you call me crazy if I left work on a hitch?

Just to lay amongst the white roses dancing in the fields

For if it allowed me to get that much close to you

How much of a fool would I really become if my intentions were pure?

Take my white rose outside during a light storm

Saturate it as if you were saturating me, the fragrance of your affection never worn
If love is like roses, then they too must reach high and low points in life

And I shall be there for it when those moments feel right

The future is too uncertain, but there’s one thing I know
I am happy enough to have this one white rose

Presented by you, a delicate bloom of love or hurt

Long after the petals and stem have faded away into the earth

Majestic as can be, for those who would see

A field of colors in a dazzling symbol of beauty

One white rose out of many to be found

For its great splendor, how could I frown?

**The idea behind the poem is to think of the rose as a relationship and how one should take care of a rose as if it were his/her lover despite that one day it may die… The idea came to me so I went with it, so I hope it was okay… I also love roses so this poem was a must write after my first one which I enjoyed so much ^_^**
