Your Warmth

Here I lay in my lonely room

Wishing that you were close to me

I’d touch your hand and shroud your fears
Longing for our destiny

The stars so high up in the sky
I’d soar with them if I could fly
Yet nothing takes me higher
Than your warmth or your embrace

I’d wait forever for that moment
Just to look and hold your face

I think about you all the time

And often wonder if you do too
The distance is hard, so very hard
But if I could, I no doubt would

Travel all that way just to see you

You make me laugh, you make me cry

You’ve touch every part of me inside

At times I wish we were hand in hand
Because you treat me like no other can

When I am down, you lend your time

You know in reverse I would lend mine
To ease your mind from traumatic strain
I’d do whatever it took to make you smile again

The simplicity of your words always brings me joy
And I cherish every moment that comes about
If I could rewind those heartfelt moments, I would
You’ve captured my heart, there is no doubt

I sleep at night thinking about you
And the fondness that we’d share
Precious moment that derive from my heart
They should how much I care

We could run through the grass like the force of the wind

Journey through a forest where an adventure begins
Walk along the beach listening to the soothing waves

Or dine at the local restaurant for the food that I crave

We could lay on the porch together in the scent of morning dew
Hike in the mountains where there’s always a view

All this and more is what we could do

Yet everything would mean nothing without you

All the pain that’s been brought up over the years

Would be gone in an instant if you were here
You’ve sought to see me through, for your will is so strong
For always you are the one who’s love I can depend on

While other’s may have their doubt in our union
There is no doubt in the mind that is mine

I’d do whatever it took to convince them
That we are meant to stand the test of time
 
To overcome barriers when they dare stand in our path
Again, I would persuade them that this love is to last
If we only had each other’s company for just a single day
I would make the most of it in every prospective way

For now, I go on with my life, waiting for that time to come
When I can run into your loving arms and feel your heart so true
Because now and forever, it is my everlasting desire

To feel the warmth and love of the entity that is you
