Clouds gather to form
a mass
What secrets that hold only one can dream
Erupting from the skies it comes down
Like
a dripping valve from the heavens, a stream
It begins as a light draft of a gentle touch
From there on, the clouds decide the fate
Ranging from a gentle shower, the rain comes down
Or
blasting away like an endless quake
A steady flow of water drenches my desiccated skin
The clash of thunder and lightning spar above
Dripping off my skin, I bathe in the spring
My mind settles into the cool breeze
Of
which I can’t get enough of it’s taste
The life-giving nectar that falls from the skies
It
shows no signs of stopping, nor does it want to
I raise my arms into the air
the water trickles down from my hair
I
embrace its serenity as if I were right there
Right at the source of the cloud, the origins of water
Dampen my spirits? Not at all I say
Rain never brings me any signs of falter
The wind begins to pick up
I feel like a vessel on the high seas
Heaven’s Fury continues its assault
Lighting of the skies like a candle’s dream
Soaked from head to toe, caressed in the flow
The atmosphere continue to put on a show
On and off light a light switch it teases
Photographers all the same it pleases
Saturating my skin, the rain, as surreal as it is
Its jog starts to slow to a crawl
Showing no hints at all
No longer does it fall
The
clouds depart their festivities
And like a group that’s on a tour
They were off to visit somewhere more
No longer does the air feel so stir
A last hurrah of thunder cries like a cannon
The sun peeks through the remnants of clouds
Nature returns to its precedent state
Puddles are all that remain in its wake
And they too will soon be dry
My heart returns to it’s natural state
And I let out a heavy sigh
The rain, its moments, are as much of a blessing
As they are a peril
The
tranquil drops that fall from the gray
Never truly go away
They stay to the end of their days
Such are their ways
The passion of rain is never to be truly understood
All
we can do is embrace its magic
Or prepare for it’s natural havoc
And dance with it’s waters that brings to us life
Dreams of thy sweet water of the skies
Until it comes again up high
Day or Night, ‘tis thee that decides
For I know when it arrives
I’ll be there to embrace its ride***Dedicated to all those that love the rain and it's wonders.
