Tender Like A Rose

We close our eyes and see a field

Where petals flourish endlessly
The sky sings a humble song
And the sun’s ray bring a tranquil breeze

An overcast of lazy clouds

Threaten to disturb this peaceful site
Yet they move alongside the morning birds
Ever graceful in their flight

And underneath a shady tree
We lay amidst the blooms
For there we rest our troubled plight
Whilst hoping the end is not too soon

The flow of water from the stream

That crashes into residing stone
A prairie murmurs its own subsistence
The scent of fragrance tickles the nose

This picture perfect serenic place
Is deficient of one pearl
To share the splendor of the seas
Would mean not a thing to this world

Her tender touch is like a rose
The fragrance of wholehearted bliss
Her eyes gleam with playful spirit
As is the affection in her avid kiss

And if the rain should suddenly fall
To pelt its drops upon the leaves
Whilst strains of hair flood our view
As dew embarks the bark of trees

I dare not flee from this candid time
I dare not fear the thunderous sound
I dare not wish I was somewhere else
Only this moment is what I wish now

A vapor may envelop from the ground
The birds may shroud into their veil
Yet we’ve got all the things we need
Right here on this lofty hill

And when the sun comes back out to play
And the waters escape into the stream
A flowery blossom will remain
The tender rose of you and me

The buds will flower into joy
The stem will stand the test of time
The leaves will caress each other in love and care

The nectar will treat the eager mind

And so with the whisper of the wind
The meadows and the leaves
The threatening clouds and sunlight rays
The flow of a dancing stream

We lay our skin united fair
As fragrances looms into the air
For how it was all created, nobody knows
This mystery that only nature shows
How love is tender like a rose
