Missing You

Stillness in the air, a sky full of stars
A gentle, soothing breeze blowing from afar
My dreams and fears echo into the night
And I wonder, wherever you are, if you are all right

I’m missing you deeply and I wish you were here
You’ve always brighten my day and spread forth the cheer
But now that you’re gone, I sit here alone
Hoping to be able to call you on the phone

It’s been so long, yet it’s only been a day
Since you left by my side and went far away
Without you, I’m just half, and not my full self
I feel lost of my purpose and everything else

I’m nothing without you; you are my reason for existence
You’re my sole purpose in life, despite the long distance
You make me complete and you make my life worthwhile
For your love I’d gladly walk a thousand miles

The distance is hard, but together we strive
To keep our love together and always alive
If fate is trying to send us a sign
It’s that now and forever you will always be mine

So whether your next door or miles away
Know that I’m always thinking of you night and day
I hope you return home safe and sound
Because I’m missing you when you’re not around
