Individuality

From the very day you were born
The cosmos sang out a tune
"Rejoice young people of Planet Earth"
The globe has been filled with anew

Taking the best of both worlds
And pouring it into a child
Out comes something brand new
And all worth the while

From the very first seconds of life
You shaped your world from your own
You developed things you liked and didn't like
Things you felt together with and things you felt alone

One may laugh at one thing, while you may view it differently
You take a side and stand up for that which you believe
Perfection shouldn't be an option, for you can never be faultless
For even the greatest need to look it up when they doubt what is seen

You find your own value and follow your own path
The walk may be hard, but the journey shouldn't be fast
You develop your own beliefs and embrace those of others
Experiencing the thoughts and feelings, never taking anything too rash

Decisions can be good and decision can be bad
You learn from your mistakes and solve what's to be had
Adoption of your own method of things, your own personality
Career paths blooming where every day comes as a new opportunity

No one can be like you, no matter how hard they try
They can't even grasp the value of the uniqueness that is you
Never duplicated, replicated or imitative on the fly
There's not enough room for two

You should never try to be someone you're not
Because then you're not even yourself
And when your not an individual of your own viewpoints
You're someone else

The values may not be all your own, but you're the one that's in control
You decide what comes and goes on the flow
Every step you take, every action you make
Is no one else's but your own
