Forevermore

Alone in the dark, I found you astray
Tears flowing down your cheeks, not going away
The torture burning inside your soul
Emotions completely out of control

The love that you once had, now gone in a flash
Ruminants of its burning hate, stripped and trashed
Twisted and tangled the bond cannot exist
But you do not want to believe in this

All those memories that you once had
Destroyed by the once-loving cad
Anger flows through your veins
And you never wish to experience this pain again

I took you in my arms, it was the least I could do
Took you away from the pain that was troubling you
I held you tightly not letting go
Speaking to you softly as the tears flowed 

Why must someone so beautiful and kind experience this pain?
When the tragedy is enough to drive one insane
The endless crying will never end
Until she has found her true-loving friend

It’s time to start over, to begin anew
Leave the past behind and enter the future’s debut
So hush now little one, do not be afraid
I would never be the one to hurt you or make you feel pain

While the temptations of going back still remain
Do you really want to experience this pain again?
It’s time to look for the one who will always be true
The one who won’t lie, the one who won’t make you blue

You lying here in my arms crying out your heart
It brings a sense of responsibility to do my part
Your body all battered and bruised, what a scary site
It’s about time someone held you tight

Let me be your shining star
Let me be the one who’ll heal your scar
If this were my purpose in my glorious life
Then so be it, as long as it’s right

Call on me and I’ll always be seen
Maybe not in person, but at least in your dreams
Because when you wake up every morning under the gentle sun
It’s always cheerful to have that special someone

I’ll never let you down nor harm you in any way
Let’s begin our journey, not tomorrow, but today
A blushing feeling I’ve always had for you
and I’ve always wondered if you felt the same way too

What’s happened has happen and cannot be changed
All we can do is not make the same mistake again
Let’s start new memories that will fill our hearts with rapture
Your heart is the one that I wish to capture

I will always love you and that will never depart
It’s a feeling I’ve had from the very start
And as the endless stars shine up in the sky
I hope that someday you will be mine

You make my heart leap into uncharted oceans
It beats upon your every motion
As I look into your gentle tear-strung eyes
It also makes me want to cry 

Give me a change to prove myself, that’s all I ask
Whether or not this proves to be a simple task
Because you are the one that I truly adore
And I’ll do my best to love you forevermore
