Eyes of Uncertainty

Nothing looks the same anymore
The vision grows dimmer still
Where once things sparkled like jewels
Now fade into nothingness
Moments like this beckon
To be looked at with the truth
Now they crumble beneath our feet
Embrace this pain like another dashed hope
Kneel before the truth
The eyes bear all there is to see
Hiding it becomes an unfeasible task
The gift of sight comes at its own costs
Visions of love, visions of pain
Starring down like a curse of black rain
Dripping the scent of a beast's breath
Forever the nuisance lives to never die
Even when closed, they do not lie
A world in the mind emulates reality
Dreams comes and dreams pass
Nothing in this world truly lasts
So take the time to look at things a different way each time
Ominous to the temptation
Judging by the looks
Haste at the chance
To look away while you can
Try not to peek
It's harder than you think
Eyes have a tendency to always keep themselves occupied
Because they know nothing else
Eyes are beautiful yet they are a menace
Because when there's something you don't want to see
And you still see it
You will wish you were blind
What did you see?
What do you see?
What will you see?
The Eyes of Uncertainty are just that
But would you have it any other way?
