Dreams

I'm taken to a place where time has stopped
And the land that I walk on becomes a journey
The sky being mistaken for crystal clear waters
The earth undisturbed for an eternity
Flowers all perfectly preserved in the
endless fields
And mountain as far as the eye can see
Forests stretched across for miles at a time
And the air purified by their absorbing leaves
Alone, I am not, for you are there too
Smiling gently as I stare into your moonlit eyes
A place where we can be alone forever, undisturbed
Every single day and night
We walk across the sands of the beach
Our bodies always within each other's reach
A perfect sunset shown on the horizon
This picture perfect moment I would want to last forever
The stars light up the midnight sky
And the sounds of the evening take over
We reside on the shores, never leaving each other's grasp
If I could have anything in this world, let it be this, I ask
This heaven I see, exists in my dreams
And I cherish every moment of every sight
So every chance I have to close my eyes
I'll always return to that perfect place at night
Never stop dreaming; expect the unexpected
And perhaps your wish will come true
Hearts are not born of love alone
They come from the dreams within you
