I look outside my window as it softly begins to snow
Glittering lights shine in the dark as they begin to glow
A dazzling tree sparkles like an everlasting shine
I lose myself in my thoughts, as I can't keep track of time

Everyone looks so happy, yet I find myself distressed
A part of me is missing, and that part cannot be assessed
My lover, my friend, is so very far away
And even if they could come, it wouldn't be today

A day I could never forget, happened to me so long ago
It was like a fairy-tale, but it wasn't in any bookstore
It was the story of you and me, the day we met
And I said to myself, he might be the one yet

As time flew by, we became entangled into each other's arms
The way you spoke sweet words to me, I began to love your charm
Everything about you, I could have felt as like a dream
But then that special moment came, the day when you kissed me
