Merriam-Webster has defined poetry as: A writing that formulates a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience in language chosen and arranged to create a specific emotional response through meaning, sound, and rhythm. There is no doubt in my mind that when words are joined together in holy matrimony and a bond of meaning exists from beginning to end, we have what we call - a poem; a story, a dance, the mind communicating onto paper or computer. Below are prime examples that I feel make up my finest works. In most cases I spend a few hours on each poem, but I have spent up to as many a week when I feel it is deemed worthy (not all at once, mind you!) I've been writing for as long as I was able to pick up a pencil and doodle. The joy of writing is we never find the top of the mountain and we are always improving, always looking for that special piece of work that comes as close to the heart as one can write. So, please, given the time on your hand, if you have been sent here by myself, or perhaps you found me on accident. Take a moment or two, read one or read them all and venture into the limitless imaginations that are inspired though the wonderful world of poetry. I hope you enjoy my style of writing, my style of expression and come back often to visit as I try to write as often as my mind allows me to properly.
